Attended by 160 seniors from the Class of 2023, Islip High School’s 22nd annual Post Prom was held in the high school’s cafeteria on the night of June 22, immediately following the return of the seniors from their prom at Water’s Edge in Centerport.
Sponsored by the Islip Drug Education and Awareness Coalition, Post Prom is designed to create a fun and safe late-night party for each year’s graduating class. For this year’s event, the senior class chose a “Casino Night” theme, and it featured over 50 prizes obtained via fundraising and 65 gift basket giveaways donated by the community.
The Post Prom Committee attributed the evening’s success to the hard work and dedication of the Class of 2023 parents as well as community volunteers and local business partners such as Angela’s Pizza, Bubba’s Burrito Bar, Dang BBQ, Flowers by Chazz, Good Mojo Printing, Islip Elks Lodge, Islip Teachers Association, Zest and Whitehouse Cleaners.
