Islip High School’s actors and audiences alike worked to solve a detective puzzle during this year’s musical production of “Clue: The Musical,” performed on March 20-22.

“Clue: The Musical” is based on the classic Parker Brothers murder mystery board game, which was made into a classic 1985 comedy film and subsequent stage play. In the game, players must solve a murder in a mansion, exploring who committed it, what weapon was used and where the crime took place through a process of elimination. The theatrical experience adapts this concept to allow the audience to play along, providing a unique outcome in each performance.

Robb Le Vien served as director and producer, with Gregory Franz as vocal director, Joelle Parent as choreographer and Zach Butterfield as conductor. The sterling cast included Connor Clifford as Mr. Boddy, Anna Lettieri as The Detective, Thomas Neri as Colonel Mustard, Isabella Feldman as Ms. Green, Juliana Sclafani as Mrs. Peacock, Ryan Brown as Professor Plum, Addison DeFalco as Miss Scarlet, Emerson Concannon as Mrs. White, Parker Jackson as The Candlestick, Selin Canbaz as The Knife, Alexandra Noles as The Lead Pipe, Colin Sidlo as The Revolver, AviJoy Dizon as The Rope and Emily Flora as The Wrench.

“It has been a highlight of this school year to work with such committed and talented students,” Le Vien said. “Bringing the classic board game to life would not have been possible without the dedication of the stage crew, pit and cast. Their efforts and time commitment far exceeded what I expected at the high school level, and I am so proud of them all.”
