Students proudly wore orange on Oct. 17 as Maud S. Sherwood Elementary School celebrated Unity Day. The event is the keystone of National Bullying Prevention Month, an awareness campaign founded by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center in 2006.

“It was great to see Sherwood come together to celebrate kindness, acceptance and inclusion within our whole school community of students, teachers, staff and parents; all sharing a visible message that no one should ever experience bullying,” school counselor Kate Kiesling said.
