Islip High School is once again participating in the annual Pink by the Bay breast cancer awareness campaign, sponsored by Northwell Health. The campaign features numerous fundraisers throughout the district for the month of October, including spiritwear sold in the high school’s IBuc Shop, pink hair extensions offered by cosmetology students and the sale of cupcakes with pink icing through Bucs Brew on Wednesdays. One of the high school’s Virtual Enterprise firms, FLEXFUEL, helped teacher Renee Clock’s college business law class kick off the campaign by hanging up the Pink by the Bay banner on the school’s Main Street fence on Oct. 4.

“Our district and our students are truly passionate about raising awareness for breast cancer,” Clock said.
