Islip Middle School sixth graders worked on beginning coding units during library media time on Sept. 15, using the web-based KidOYO platform. KidOYO provides students with the opportunity to enhance their computer science skills while learning to code programs, games and apps.

“This is our first year using KidOYO, and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing things our students will do with this platform,” said Chad Walerstein, Islip’s director of technology, innovation and information systems.
