Islip High School’s varsity wrestlers captured second place at the team’s own Kris McDonald Wrestling Tournament on Jan. 13. At the competition’s end, Islip’s Max Haynes was named tournament MVP, and Cartier Perez was team MVP for the Buccaneers.

“Congratulations to both of these guys, and to the team, which battled hard,” Athletic Director John Sparacio said.
