The high school recently held its annual junior interview and networking skills workshop, planned by Assistant Principal Curt Juengerkes and teacher Renee Clock of the Islip School to Careers Partnership. The event incorporated the school’s business teachers as well as 10 other educators. Visiting professionals interviewed students in classrooms and conducted networking sessions in the school’s gymnasium.

Guest participants included the Suffolk County legislators Tom Cilmi and Steve Flotteron; the Town of Islip’s Arthur Abbate and Stefanie Ohayon; YES Youth Enrichment Services’ Carolyn Baez, Juan Munoz and MaryAnn Pfeiffer; Great South Bay YMCA’s John Borromeo; Junior Achievement of NY’s Lorraine Englander; Northwell Health’s Teri Hughes and Maureen Pecorella; LIU Post’s Betsy Madey, Dennis O’Hara and Christopher Salute; Bethpage Federal Credit Union’s Samantha Scherger; and Suffolk County Department of Civil Service’s Theresa Gianmugnai and Gina O’Brien.
