Islip High School’s Fishing Club recently participated in a competition sponsored by the Long Island Rod Company. Students Ryan Donohue, Aidan Petelin, Daniel Rezza and Joe Rezza competed in a variety of saltwater gamefish categories, and took photos of all of their catches using an approved measuring tape. The Islip anglers won second place overall and second place for Most Striped Bass.

“Our students plan on setting new personal bests in the upcoming season,” club adviser Joseph Rezza said.
