Sixth-graders at the middle school recently “traveled” to Egypt via Skype as part of their study of ancient civilizations, communicating with an Egyptian educator about topics like the Nile River, Egyptian monuments, and habitat and wildlife in Egypt and asking her questions about life in Egypt, past and present. The activity was coordinated by technology specialist Tim Brush.
“Advances in technology now afford us opportunities for exciting authentic learning experiences that truly bring history to life, such as this,” said Assistant Principal Bryan Miltenberg.
