On March 26, Islip High School celebrated the jersey retirement of one of its most celebrated athletes, Class of 2014 lacrosse star Kylie Ohlmiller. Her accolades in high school included All-American status and stats of 247 goals and 98 assists. During her subsequent four-year career playing attack for Stony Brook University, she was team captain, America East Player of the Year and a Tewaaraton Finalist twice; an All-American four times; a 2018 America East Women of the Year winner; and earned sponsorships from Brine and New Balance.
