Eleven Islip High School senior athletes signed national letters of intent on Nov. 14 to play in college next fall. Proud families joined students and administrators to celebrate in the school library.

Luke Arey will play lacrosse for the University of Tampa, Jack Atlas will play lacrosse for Florida Southern College, Mackenzie Cummings will play lacrosse for Wagner College, Gianna Edwards will play softball for East Carolina University, Nick Giardina will play lacrosse for Fairfield University, Jack Graffagnino will play lacrosse for Ohio State University, Keren Hodulick will play softball for the University of Buffalo, Joseph Juengerkes will play lacrosse for Princeton University, Patrick Mai will play lacrosse for University at Albany, Kelsey Scheidel will play lacrosse for Wagner College and Kristen Scheidel will play lacrosse for Binghamton University.

“Congratulations to all of you and your families,” said Athletic Director John Sparacio. “You persevered and chose your school, and now you’re going to love every second of it and the friendships you’re going to make. The network of people you’ll meet is just going to be tremendous. Hopefully all of your goals, aspirations and dreams will fall into place.”
