Classes at Wing participated in the global peace initiative Pinwheels for Peace project on Sept. 20. The annual event, coinciding with the International Day of Peace, remind students about the importance of peace in our world. Students created their own pinwheels as a symbol of something simple and joyful, in the hopes that spinning pinwheels will extend thoughts and feelings about peace throughout the community.
“All of us at Wing are always very proud and excited to participate in this project, one that has existed at our school since 2005,” said Principal Michael Giacchetto. “It's a great day at Wing that focuses on making our world a better place to live.”
