In honor of Pi and all things math, fifth-graders at Commack celebrated Pi Day on March 14. They engaged in various mathematics activities such as practicing multiplication with the Great Array game; identifying remainders with “I’ll have the leftovers”; using logic skills with Super Tic, Tac, Toe; and trying to use their feet in solving a walkable “no-left turn” maze, before enjoying five different types of pie to eat.

“The students all agreed that it was a ‘Pi’-fect day,” said teacher Judd Kramarcik.
