In recognition of the International Day of Peace, kindergarten and first grade students at Wing Elementary participated in the annual Pinwheels for Peace Project on Sept. 21. The students imagined ‘whirled’ peace through the decoration of their own pinwheels.

Principal Dr. Michael Giachetto reported that the students wore white clothing to symbolize peace, discussed respect and kindness in their classrooms and decorated pinwheels, which were displayed on the bulletin board in the auditorium’s lobby.
