Eight high school students with exemplary character were chosen by Islip American Legion Rusy-Bohm Post 411 for this summer’s Boys State and Auxiliary Girls State leadership programs. James Cottral and Matthew Koebele were chosen as primary delegates for Boys State, with Michael Maisano and Jack McDonald as alternates. Lauren Callaway and Elizabeth DeSimone were chosen as citizens for Auxiliary Girls State and Emmie Jensen and Sally Voska as alternates.
