Fifth graders in Nicole Morrisey’s classroom at Commack Road recently read about scientist Meg Lowman, a pioneer of forest canopy research. The students learned how Dr. Lowman collects and preserves specimens in the rainforest, then followed her process to research their own plant specimens.
