Najee Simpson Named One of Newsday’s Top 100 Football Players on Long Island
Islip High School senior Najee Simpson has been recognized as one of Newsday’s Top 100 high school football players on Long Island entering the 2026 season.
The 6-foot, 200-pound running back and defensive end has established himself as a disruptive presence on both sides of the football.
In addition to his defensive ability, Simpson contributes to the Buccaneers’ offense as a powerful and versatile running back. His strength, athleticism and leadership will make him an important part of Islip’s success throughout his senior season.
The Newsday Top 100 recognizes the region’s leading high school football players and top athletes to watch during the upcoming season.
The Islip School District congratulates Najee on this well-deserved recognition and wishes him and the entire Buccaneers football program success this fall.
