Thirty seniors and juniors from Islip High School’s National Honor Society volunteered at the school’s Meet the Teacher Night on Sept. 29, serving as greeters and tour guides for parents and guardians as they navigated the building and followed their children’s schedules. Other student clubs such as Yearbook and Student Government manned tables in the main lobby at the event, along with the school’s Parent Teacher Student Association and the Post Prom Committee.

“Our hardworking NHS students were happy to help the night run smoothly as we transitioned back to an in-person Meet the Teacher Night,” teacher Kerri Schmalacker said. “This is one of the events that our students look forward to the most every school year.”
