The Islip High School Women’s Empowerment Club recently demonstrated the power of community service and compassion by organizing a school-wide donation drive to support local women and families in need.

Under the leadership of club advisor Nikki Gerardi, students and staff came together to collect a variety of essential items, including hygiene products, women’s care items and baby supplies. The donations were distributed to a local women’s shelter and Island Harvest, helping provide critical resources to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.

The initiative highlighted the club’s commitment to empowering others while fostering a culture of kindness and service throughout the school community. Through the generosity of students, faculty and staff, the drive was a tremendous success and made a meaningful impact on those it was designed to help.

The Women's Empowerment Club plans to make the donation drive an annual tradition, providing ongoing support to local organizations while encouraging students to become active and engaged members of their community.

The successful collection effort serves as another example of Islip High School students putting empathy into action and working together to create positive change beyond the classroom. #IslipRising
