Islip LaxThe Islip Buccaneers girls lacrosse program celebrated two remarkable career milestones this season as standouts Caitlin Barnes and Abigail Dieumegard etched their names into program history.

Barnes recently surpassed the 300 career point mark, further solidifying herself as one of the most dynamic offensive players to ever wear the Buccaneers uniform. The Boston College commit has been among Long Island’s elite scorers throughout her high school career and currently ranks among Suffolk County’s top point producers this season.

Meanwhile, Dieumegard reached an incredible 500 career saves, a testament to her consistency, toughness, and leadership in net over the past several seasons. The Virginia Tech commit has been one of the premier goalkeepers on Long Island and continues to anchor Islip defensively against top competition.

Together, Barnes and Dieumegard have been instrumental in helping elevate the Islip program into a perennial contender. Their leadership, work ethic, and competitive spirit have helped define a successful era of Buccaneers lacrosse while inspiring younger athletes throughout the community.

Barnes’ offensive explosiveness and Dieumegard’s presence in goal have consistently given Islip the ability to compete with some of the strongest programs in Suffolk County. Beyond the statistics, both players have represented the school and community with pride, professionalism, and passion.

Thank you, Caitlin and Abigail, for making Islip proud!
