Dear Islip Families:

You are cordially invited to our annual Festival of the Arts on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. This free, public event celebrates the vibrant art and music programs in our district through a walkable showcase featuring student work from grades K–12.

District Art Exhibition (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Explore the auditorium hallways to view hundreds of works, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces. While you enjoy the gallery, we encourage you to participate in our art scavenger hunt and visit the designated photo spots to capture a few memories. Our art teachers will be there to say hello and share in the excitement of our students' hard work.

Instrument Petting Zoo (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM)
Designed for students in grades Pre-K through 3rd, this interactive session is the perfect opportunity to try out string, brass, and woodwind instruments. It is a wonderful way for younger students to get excited about starting their own instrument in 4th grade. Our music faculty and members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society will be available to assist and answer questions.

Showcase Concert (6:30 PM – 8:00 PM)
Join us in the auditorium for a series of performances by our advanced ensembles. The concert will feature the Middle School Show Choir, Jazz Band, and Chamber Orchestra, as well as the High School Jazz Band and Electric Ensemble.
