CollegeIslip High School recognized three of its senior student-athletes this week during a college signing ceremony celebrating their commitment to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Surrounded by family members, coaches, teammates, and school administrators, the student-athletes were honored for their dedication, hard work, and achievements in the classroom and on the field.

Imani Hood, a standout on the Islip girls' soccer team, signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Lincoln University, where she will compete at the next level while pursuing her studies.

Nicholas Santiago, a member of the boys soccer program, committed to Elmira College, taking the next step in his soccer journey after a strong career with the Buccaneers.

On the gridiron, Alex Morales signed with Hartwick College, where he will join the Hawks football program and continue to build on his success as a student-athlete.

The ceremony highlighted not only athletic accomplishment, but also the discipline, leadership, and perseverance required to compete at the collegiate level. School officials praised the student-athletes for representing Islip High School with pride and for serving as role models for younger students.

“This is a proud moment for our entire school community,” said Islip Athletic Director John Sparacio. “These students have earned the opportunity to continue their athletic careers while pursuing their academic goals, and we look forward to watching them succeed at the next level.”

Islip High School congratulates Imani Hood, Nicholas Santiago, and Alex Morales on their college commitments and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors, both on and off the field.
