Islip High School Students Host “Breakfast with Santa” to Support Local Veterans

Posted Date: 11/14/25 (8:21 PM)

Breakfast SantaThe spirit of the season is alive in Islip as the Islip High School Business Leadership and Commerce Club, together with students from the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, prepare to host their annual Breakfast with Santa—a festive community celebration with a powerful purpose.

The event will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Islip American Legion Rusy Bohm Post 411, located at 39 Nassau Avenue in Islip. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the IBUC Shop at: 👉 https://islip-high-school-ibuc-shop.square.site/

This year’s Breakfast with Santa serves as the centerpiece of the students’ Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Impact Project, an initiative that empowers young leaders to serve their community. The students selected the Islip American Legion Building Renovation Project as their cause, aiming to raise $10,000 to fund necessary updates to the over-100-year-old facility so local veterans can continue to have a safe, functional place to gather.

A Festive Morning for a Great Cause

Families attending the breakfast can look forward to:
  • 🥞 Pancake Breakfast
  • 🎅 Photographs with Santa
  • 🎵 Music and Holiday Activities
  • 🎨 Face Painting
  • 🎁 Raffle Baskets & 50/50
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children (children under three are free), and each admission includes photos with Santa and access to all activities. Guests are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to support the event’s food drive. A special appearance by the beloved Chick-fil-A Santa Cow will add extra holiday cheer.

Sponsorships and Raffle Donations Needed

To further support their fundraising efforts, students are seeking raffle baskets and gift cards of all themes—children, food, pets, toys, holiday décor, home décor, candles, games, and more. Donations can be dropped off to Ms. Renée DeCrescenzo, Clock in Room 106 at Islip High School by Monday, December 1, 2025.
Businesses and families also have the opportunity to support the event through sponsorships, with levels including:
  • $75 – Elf
  • $125 – Reindeer
  • $175 – Gingerbread
  • $300 – Magic
All sponsors will have their names displayed on signage at the event.

Supporting Local Veterans

Every dollar raised from Breakfast with Santa will go directly toward improvements at Islip American Legion Post 411, ensuring the building can continue to serve veterans for years to come. Local veterans have expressed deep appreciation for the students’ efforts, recognizing the impact this renovation will have on their community.
“This project means so much to our veterans,” said Ms. Clock, Business Leadership and Commerce Club advisor. “The students are committed to giving back, and their leadership is making a real difference.”
