Islip Goes PurpleIslip High School proudly joined the community-wide Islip Goes Purple initiative during Friday night's home football game, helping to raise awareness about opioid and drug prevention throughout September.

Islip Goes Purple is a month-long campaign that unites the Town of Islip in recognition of National Recovery Month, highlighting the importance of mental health, substance use disorder awareness, and celebrating those in recovery.

Throughout the month, townships and schools across the community were encouraged to “go purple” by hosting events, wearing purple, and supporting outreach efforts.

Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Prevention, a vital partner in this initiative, continues to provide resources and programs that support students and families, promoting healthy, substance-free lifestyles.

By participating in Islip Goes Purple, Islip High School not only demonstrates its commitment to education but also to the well-being of its students, families, and community. The campaign underscores the shared responsibility of schools, organizations, and residents in creating a culture of awareness, compassion, and hope.
