Starting in September, the district’s Board of Education switched over to the BoardDocs Pro paperless agenda management system. Using advanced technology, the service will maximize the effectiveness of board meetings, providing increased transparency and communication with the public while enhancing staff productivity.

Alleviating printing and distribution costs not only saves significant taxpayer dollars but has a positive effect on the environment. Electronic distribution via BoardDocs will save time and resources and also provide thorough public access to agenda items and other board-related information. This process will allow the community to review information prior to meetings and then examine what actions the board took, complete with voting results. All meeting documents will be automatically archived and can be accessed by date or through the Search feature.

The new board management features can be accessed via the district website at www.islipufsd.org. For questions regarding this initiative, contact Kari-Ann Carr in the superintendent’s office at kcarr@islipufsd.org or 631-650-8210.
