Islip High School’s Buccaneer University – a group of Peer Ambassadors dedicated to fostering connections between underclassmen and other students in the high school – held its final meeting with the Class of 2025 on April 1. Student leaders met with their groups for the third time this year, engaging in an exciting icebreaker activity and discussing kindness and student involvement in the high school. Students reflected on their past year and set goals for the future.

“The Peer Ambassadors, along with several enthusiastic faculty volunteers, did a fantastic job of leading discussions and creating memories and connections with the Class of 2025,” said Meghan Stern, one of three advisers for the organization along with counselor Nicole Hall and Assistant Principal Lisa Ward.
