Four fantastic Islip High School students, all boasting outstanding character and patriotism, were chosen by Islip American Legion Rusy-Bohm Post 411 to attend this summer’s Boys’ State and American Legion Auxiliary Empire Girls State leadership programs. Aidan Ferrera and Stephen Plotke were chosen as primary delegates for Boys’ State, while Gabriella Flora and Olivia Piazzolla were chosen as citizens for Empire Girls State. American Legion representatives recently visited the school to congratulate the winning students.
