A total of 53 Islip student-musicians were recently selected by the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education and Suffolk County Music Educators' Association for various divisional and All-County honor ensembles.

Students recognized included Erin Quinn (All-County Band); Richard Castronova, Tyler Cirulnick, Leah Cyran and Isabella Green (All-County Chorus); Leah Cyran and Shannon Brody (All-County Orchestra); Hannah Evans (SCMEA Division III Band); Maggie Frazer, Madelynn Lang, Alan Lawrence, Talia Mazza, Genna Schifter, Ryan Van Nostrand and Jordyn Zurbaran (SCMEA Div. III Chorus); Carolyn Do and Kaitlyn Trocchio (SCMEA Division III Orchestra); Sabrina Frazer, Jessica Cruz, Olivia Johnson, Louise Kane, Jake Mulholland and Jacob Schifter (SCMEA Division II Band); Emma Cirulnick, Skylar Greene, Rebecca Leo, Annalee Thorn, Daniel Turk, Lauren Wade, Jolie Williams (SCMEA Division II Chorus); Emily Flora, Lia Guzman, John Oggeri and Daniel Rubinson (SCMEA Division II Orchestra); Connor Ancipink, Jasmin Fields-Robinson, Nicholas Gulick, Ali Guzman, Katerina Mennecke, Brady Reinhart and Jadyn Zink (SCMEA Division I Band); Conner Clifford, Addison DeFalco, Vaughan Gerrard, Lucas Jordan, Sofia Marra, Olivia Pacifico, Juliana Sclafani and Bridget Slattery (SCMEA Division I Chorus); Isabella Conzo, Ryan Nieves, Fallan Rao and Avery Roche (SCMEA Division I Orchestra).

“Although these festivals have been canceled due to COVID, these students deserve to be recognized for their talent, dedication and hard work,” said Brian Kroll, Islip’s director of fine and performing arts. “This is a well-earned achievement and we congratulate these students and their teachers.”
