The district has been recognized by the NAMM Foundation with the Best Communities for Music Education designation for the sixth consecutive year. This prestigious recognition is due to the district’s strong and thriving commitment to provide the best music education for all students.

“This honor is due to the hard work and support of Islip’s students, teachers, parents, school board members, administrators and the community at large,” said Dr. Jeff Dailey, Islip’s interim director of fine and performing arts.
