By now, all residents in Islip should have received a letter from the U.S. Census Bureau with instructions to complete the 2020 Census questionnaire online, as well as a Census ID for the household.

Completing the U.S. Census is one of the most important steps a parent and the community can take to secure the future of the District's students. Your responses ensure accurate counts which will set funding levels for schools, special education services, health insurance, food distribution programs, and much more for the next TEN YEARS. If the District is undercounted, it would mean less funding from the federal government and less representation in the House of Representative, lessening the community's voice. Therefore, when completing the Census, it is important to count EVERYONE in your household, including infants and toddlers.

Every child on Long Island deserves the opportunity to succeed. By taking ten minutes to complete the 2020 U.S. Census, you are helping provide them with that chance. If you have questions before you begin, please visit the Help & FAQs page of the U.S. Census website for more information.
