School buildings throughout the district celebrated the 10th annual P.S. I Love You Day on Feb. 14 after spending the week encouraging students to be kind to others, talk to people that they do not know and support someone who is alone.

At the high school, the Junior Chamber of Commerce Club and Interact Club asked students and staff to write encouraging, inspirational messages on purple cut-out hearts during the week leading up to P.S. I Love You Day and displayed the hearts in the school’s front lobby.

Commack Road students in Christine LeMaire’s classroom worked hard to create a special P.S. I Love You video broadcast as well as a photo booth, daily announcements, book recordings and positive messages. Local legislators and civic groups visited the school to participate in the event.
