Annual Budget Vote & Board Election - May 18th

Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, May 18! Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Islip High School gymnasium. The ballot will include a proposition on the 2021-2022 budget and the election for three seats on the Board of Education. Be sure to take a moment to explore the samples of artwork from students in grades K-12 decorating the hallway outside of the gym. There will also be a special student vote in the auxiliary gym. Parents may pick up a QR code from building representatives for elementary students to vote for their school’s Spirit Week themes between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Following the closing of the polls, the Board of Education will hold a brief meeting in the HS auditorium (start time approximately 9:30 p.m.). There will be no in-person registration required for the meeting, but attendees will still need to complete a health form and undergo a temperature check. Facial coverings must be worn at all times while in the building.

The meeting will also be broadcast via Zoom. Visit the Zoom registration page to watch the meeting virtually.
