On Sunday, Dec. 9, band teacher Christine Creighton accompanied middle school students Grant Calendrille (sixth grade) and Paul Penske (seventh grade) to their performance at Rockefeller Center for the annual Tuba Christmas. For almost 40 years, tuba, euphonium and baritone players from across the country gather in New York City to perform at this annual event, which this year included players from ages 10-87. A total of 470 musicians played at this year’s event, which was conducted by Christian Wilhelm, former conductor of the Goldman Memorial Band. Thank you to Grant and Paul for participating in this unique performance opportunity!
