For the eighth consecutive year, Sherwood partnered with the Seatuck Environmental Association to help reintroduce northern bobwhite quail back to Long Island.

Sherwood welcomed 16 baby quail, which stayed at Sherwood for two weeks until students in Robb Le Vien’s class walked them back to Seatuck’s South Shore Nature Center.

“The children enjoyed having a picnic and watching the quails frolic around the preserve,” said Le Vien.
