Young Scientists

Students at Commack Road Elementary School in Islip recently participated in their annual science fair, showcasing their exhibits and demonstrating their scientific knowledge on topics including the effects of an oil spill on water life and the effect of acid rain on plants. More than 125 students chose to participate in the voluntary science fair coordinated by teachers Ted Dieumegard, Melissa Clehane and Patricia Austin. Winners for each grade-level were Ryan Ghosio (second grade), Connor Argenziano (third grade), Matthew Leo (fourth grade), and Jeffrey Atlas (fifth grade).
