The students in Matthew Senese’s fourth-grade class at Maud S. Sherwood Elementary School opened their imaginations and turned ordinary book reports into extraordinary fictional character day projects. The students were given the task of reading a grade level appropriate book and telling the story, in their own words, to their classmates. Dressed as the main character in their book, the students presented their book reports, with a few students telling the story in-character. Characters represented included the ever-popular Judy Moody, Nancy Drew, and Indiana Jones.
