Cooking Up a Feast

Getting into the holiday spirit, the students in Judy Roth’s Chef’s Cooking classes at Islip High School cooked up a storm in preparation for their annual Thanksgiving feast. Thanksgiving Day favorites such as stuffing, apple pie, and a turkey were prepared for invited guests, members of the STAR club, and ESL students to enjoy the following day. “My classes prepare a Thanksgiving feast every year in order to expose the students who may be new to our country and our culture to our traditions,” stated Mrs. Roth.
