Members of the Islip High School girls varsity lacrosse team, along with their coach Jason Orlick and assistant coach Nicole McHale, showed that they’re more than just student-athletes as they raised money and awareness for the HEADstrong Foundation. By wearing green t-shirts and multi-colored socks, the girls brought attention to the Foundation, which works to carry on the legacy and vision of HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori through the advocacy, fundraising efforts, and support of those affected by blood cancer and those working towards its elimination. Through their efforts, the team was able to raise more than $700, all of which was donated directly to the Foundation.
