KIC Junior Commissioners

On Oct. 9, six Keep Islip Clean members from Islip High School were inducted into the Town of Islip’s Keep Islip Clean Junior Commissioner Program. These seniors have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and community service during their time in the KIC Club. Following their official induction, the JCs will immediately begin planning their first initiative, an e-waste recycling program.

KIC is a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated to a cleaner, prouder Islip Township. Their goals are to positively change behavior through education and example, raise awareness about the effect that an uncaring attitude toward littering has on our quality of life, and encourage the values of ownership, service and civic responsibility among residents.

The Islip School District congratulates inductees Rachel Bahnsen, Nicholas Bates, Daniela D’Acunto, Mackenzie Dymek, Amanda Faux and Natalie Oscher.
