After a four-year hiatus, the IBuc Shop at the high school has officially reopened. The store, which is run by students in Reneé Clock’s business class, sells a variety of school merchandise and supplies, while providing the business students with practical lessons in retail marketing and management.
“Throughout the course, students will take on the role of sales associates and learn the fundamentals of setting up and maintaining a small business while taking part in the day-to-day operations within the store,” said Mrs. Clock. “Students will also learn how to create and present financial forms and reports, gaining real-world experience that they can undoubtedly use in the future.”
The business students will interact with both their teacher and local business owners to better understand what it takes to run a real business and how they can improve on their own.
