Now through February, the Keep Islip Clean Club at Islip High School is collecting holiday and birthday greeting cards, new or used, to be donated to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.

Card covers without personal greetings written on the back will be rebound to a new back for sale by St. Jude’s. Recycled cards are sold to support programs and services for abused, neglected and homeless children, young adults and families.

The card recycling project is being organized by KIC junior commissioners who meet monthly with KIC coordinator Nancy Cochran and junior commissioners from other local high schools.

Drop-off bins are located at the main office of Islip High School and at the district’s elementary schools and middle school.

To drop off cards directly to the KIC Club, please see teacher Wayne Mennecke at the high school.
