Wing Principal Gets Taped for PARP

As part of the school’s Parents As Reading Partners program, Wing Principal Christopher Smalley challenged his charges to read for a total of 75,000 minutes during the two-week period from March 9-20. The prize: getting to see their principal duct taped to a wall.

Thanks to avid young readers, Smalley lost the Principal’s Challenge and accepted his fate. On the morning of May 1, as the amused students arrived at school and filed past him, Smalley was stuck to the lobby wall.

“Getting taped to the wall was the least I could do to support the phenomenal efforts of the Wing PTA and the PARP program that incentivizes our students to read,” said Smalley.
