High-scoring Senior Named Semifinalist

High school senior Wendy Tully-Gustafson was recently named a semifinalist in the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. She was recognized for her superlative test scores in the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, where she competed in an initial screening against more than 1.5 million students from across the nation.

Tully-Gustafson will continue to compete to attain the level of National Merit finalist and win one of 7,6000 National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $33 million, to be offered next spring by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which has held this prestigious academic scholarship competition since 1955.

“I’m just glad to have this opportunity,” said Tully-Gustafson.
