The district’s SEPTA organization celebrated its ongoing work on behalf of Islip’s special education program with a successful Sweat Heart Dance. The annual community event, held on Feb. 12 at the middle school, featured a magic show, photo booth, raffles, dancing and games with a DJ, and face painting and crafts with Islip High School student volunteers.
“A little snow could not stop the Sweat Heart Dance from being a hit,” said SEPTA President Tina Smith. “With all our raffles, it seemed that almost everyone went home a winner.”
