Dr. Timothy Martin, the principal of Islip Middle School, received the 2016 SCOPE Administrator Service Award on March 14.
Martin has been a valued administrator at the middle school for 16 years. Under his leadership, the school received the prestigious “School to Watch” recognition, implemented a rigorous academic program, and presented technology initiatives at the Long Island Tech Fair and the national ISTE conference.
“I am honored to receive the Administrator Service Award from SCOPE this year,” said Martin. “I truly believe it is a team effort and that I received it on behalf of the faculty and staff of Islip Middle School. The students, staff and parents provide an atmosphere of success, which makes coming to work a positive experience each day. I am truly fortunate to be a longstanding member of the Islip teaching community.”
