Superintendent of Schools Susan Schnebel was honored with the National School Development Council Cooperative Leadership Award at the SCOPE awards dinner on March 14.
The purpose of the award, according to SCOPE, is to recognize outstanding leadership within the NSDC member study councils. It recognizes exemplary efforts to establish cooperative relationships with other educational agencies or study councils in the course of creating educational programs for the nation’s schools.
Schnebel, who serves as current president of the SCOPE Board of Directors, was presented the award by SCOPE Executive Director George Duffy, the Long Island study council’s past president.
