High school students in Renee Clock's business ownership and
marketing course recently spent an evening attending a small business
expo and networking event hosted by Sen. Phil Boyle.
The students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from 20
chambers of commerce and several government agencies and organizations
that provide services and resources to small business owners. The young
entrepreneurs were able to ask questions and gather information and
business cards from various small businesses that were also in
attendance, as well as meet with prospective mentors in the career
clusters they are interested in.
“My students enjoyed the experience of learning how to network, and
about business ownership and different career opportunities that exist,”
said Clock.
